Meet Our Team> Our surgeon: Elliott Fegelman, M.D., FACS
Elliott Fegelman, M.D., FACSA native of Cincinnati, Dr. Fegelman has been in the active practice of general surgery since 1994. His clinical interests focus on minimally invasive approaches to surgical disease, colon cancer, surgical treatment of obesity and breast disease. Dr. Fegelman attended Denison University, in Granville, OH where he received a BA in English. He completed his medical training at Wright State University School of Medicine, in Dayton, OH. Dr. Fegelman completed his surgical training at the University of Cincinnati. During the course of this training he spent a year at the University of Hong Kong. Dr. Fegelman remains close to the training of future surgeons. He is an active member of the University of Cincinnati Department of Surgery and is Chairman of, and Program Director for, The Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati Department of Surgery. Since 1997, he has served as a consultant for Ethicon EndoSurgery. This relationship with Ethicon has allowed Dr. Fegelman to offer his experience and expertise to many divisions of this medical device manufacturer. Dr. Fegelman has performed bariatric surgery at The Jewish Hospital since 2002. He has completed over 500 weight loss surgery procedures. He is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Jacquelyn M. Sullivan, R.N., N.P.Jackie is an advanced registered nurse practitioner who is board certified in acute care and geriatrics. She has worked with the pre-and post-operative patients in Dr. Fegelman’s weight loss surgery practice since 2006. Jackie follows patients who are in the hospital following their gastric bypass surgery. She also provides follow up care in the clinic. LAP-Band™ patients get to know Jackie well since she provides the fills to these patients. Jackie is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Valerie Brookbank, RD, LD
